Mahakala Puja Thank you's
On behalf of all Sangha, our deep gratitude to HEZR for summoning the wrathful compassion of Mahakala to clear obstacles and promote world peace, and for inviting us to participate. Each year our appreciation for his profound vision and mastery in this practice and the Dharma deepens. At the same time our concentration and performance in following the Puja and augmenting its power strengthens. It is always a timely reminder of our good fortune to be in Rinpoche's presence, in Maitreya's mandala, and in the time and place to participate in this unique practice led by one of Mahakala's greatest emanations to bring benefit to all sentient beings.
Thank you to everyone for your generosity and devotion to our Guru and the Dharma. May peace in this world prevail by the merits of this practice, and may everyone have a very happy 2022!

Dear Rinpoche, Nalandrians and Dharma Friends,
I wish to congratulate HE Zimo’g Rinpoche on the successful completion of the 13th Grand Mahakala Puja for World Peace. It truly was a grand event spanning 3 days from 28th December 2021 – 30th December 2021. On behalf of Nalandra, with deepest gratitude, I wish to thank Rinpoche for the incredible honour of participating in this profound experience with him. I do not believe that there is anywhere else in this world at this time that a group of people like us would ever be able to participate in a Grand Mahakala Puja, nor would there be a teacher who would allow us this great honour. Not only has he welcomed us to participate every year but he has also spent long, dedicated hours teaching us how to participate in the many roles required to perform this Puja. We could never learn this anywhere, his kindness, patience and generosity are boundless. Under his tutelage Nalandrians have become more proficient in the many roles resulting in a more grand and elaborate offering to the Great Mahakala and his retinue each year.
Thankyou to the Serkhang Nalandra Sangha for your tireless work in learning your roles, and the extensive moving, preparation and setting up of an entire new Vajrayana Gompa at Christmas Hills Hall. Under the guidance of Rinpoche the Gompa was grand and befitting for the invocation of Mahakala and his retinue. Thankyou also for your efforts to maintain the gompa in a clean, tidy state and for all your dedicated effort at packing up, moving and cleaning after the completion of the 3 days.
Thankyou to everyone who provided donations and offerings to the shrine, event and personally to Rinpoche.
Thankyou to the Torma makers and decorators, your skill increases every year, you provided a Grand display and offering befitting of Mahakala, his retinue and the Noble Assembly.
Thankyou to the Musicians: David, Jack, Rikki, Evelin, Heather, Paris, Michelle M, Michelle J, and all who played Damaru, Vajra and Bell.
Thankyou to Pauline/ Palmo for her continued work on the Puja practice book and helping us keep our place.
Thankyou Pauline/ Palmo, Annabelle/Paldron and Michelle/Dechen for skillfully making and managing all the offerings on behalf of us all.
Thankyou to Tilly for her dedication in tirelessly assisting Rinpoche throughout the full 3 days. Her assistance was invaluable to him.
Thankyou to Suat Koay for the delicious sustaining food she provided and to Sonja her right-hand woman/assistant. Thankyou Sonja for also managing the kitchen volunteers and thankyou to the people who volunteered to assist Suat and Sonja each day, your efforts were greatly appreciated.
Thankyou to Paris for booking the Christmas Hills Hall again, it is the perfect venue for this event, and we hope to hold many more Grand Mahakala Pujas there in the future.
Thankyou Michele M for your ceaseless work in creating and maintaining a wonderful online service for all classes and events such as this. It makes it so easy for people anywhere to participate in Rinpoche’s teachings and Pujas, his offering of Buddha Dharma to all beings.
Thankyou to Evelin for making the offering to Rinpoche of behalf of us all.
Thankyou to Prue for making the offering of gifts to the participants on Rinpoche’s behalf at the end of the Puja.
Thankyou to Rikki and David for Caretaking the Gompa and Mahakala at the Christmas Hills Hall over the 3 days and Rikki for hiring a van.
Further thanks to Rikki for using his skills as a Carpenter to modify all the prayer tables so that the practice books could be easily read. This was a huge improvement. All participants were grateful for this change.
Thankyou to the Nalandra men for carefully transporting Mahakala to his new position at Serkhang Nalandra where he belongs.
I wish to thank everyone for the myriad things they have done both seen and unseen, know that it has contributed to the success of the 13th Grand Mahakala Puja. I apologise if I have missed thanking anyone, the fault is entirely mine.
Finally thankyou Rinpoche for offering me the opportunity to challenge my fears and expand myself by asking me to take on the role of MC for the 13th Grand Mahakala Puja, it was a great honour.
May the blessings and merit of the 13th Grand Mahakala Puja permeate the world and bring peace, health and harmony to the world in 2022 and years to come.
