Are you interested in learning about Buddhism? Long-term practitioner Andy MacMillan will present an introductory course on the foundational principles of timeless Buddhist wisdom. It includes brief guided meditation practices and it is suitable for beginners as well as anyone who would like to refresh their knowledge of core Buddhist teachings.
I have been a Buddhist for over 20 years, and a disciple of His Eminence Zimo’g Rinpoche since Rinpoche arrived in Australia in 2008. I’m a proud father of two, and a self-employed landscape designer. I live in Toolangi and am passionate about positive actions that heal people and planet.
The course is divided into 4 sessions over 2 days. There will be a brief lunch break in between sessions, so please bring some lunch. I will share fundamental Dharma teachings that have helped me overcome the suffering of chronic mental and physical illness, as well as addiction problems. The course will include guided meditation sessions with an opportunity to discuss your experiences and ask questions.
Session 1: Turning the Wheel of Dharma
Session 2: Buddha’s Path
Session 3: A Vast Motivation
Session 4: Turning the Mind towards the Dharma.
