Sunday 28 October
Join us for H.E. Zimo’g Rinpoche’s 10th Animal Blessing Ceremony at Lillydale Lake, Lilydale for the wellbeing of all animals past, present and future. Inspired by World Animal Day, this is a great opportunity to assist our animal friends on the path to liberation as well as being an enjoyable day for all of the family.
The ceremony includes recitation of Sutra, Mantras and offering prayers for the health, longevity and release from suffering of our beloved animal beings. The animals are given blessing cords as well as blessed water and food. Following the ceremony we will enjoy a vegetarian picnic lunch.
All are welcome to participate by bringing their pet, or that of a relative/friend. Children may even bring their stuffed toys for blessing! If you intend to bring any large animals, please let us know. The names and photographs of any animals that need prayers can be brought for the blessing if they are not able to come or are no longer with us.
