Tsering Dorje, President of the Tibetan Community of Australia (Victoria) kindly taught a Tibetan language course at Nalandra in 2016.

About Tsering Dorje:
Tsering Dorje was born in Tibet and graduated in Tibetan Language and Literature at the Normal University of Qinghai in Tibet. He also speaks and writes fluently in English and Chinese. He was a teacher in Tibetan middle schools for several years and has worked as an interpreter and translator for English organisations in Utsang, Amdo, and Kham of Tibet.
In 2005 Tsering Dorje had to leave Tibet to live in India where he worked as a senior researcher at Tibet Watch, a British human right research charity in Dharamsala. He also wrote articles on current affairs of Tibet for the Tibetan newspapers in exile.
In 2014 he moved to Melbourne with his family and he has continued to teach Tibetan children the native tongue. He is actively involved in the Tibetan Melbourne community and in September 2015 was appointed President of the Tibetan Community of Australia (Victoria).
