Inspired by World Animal Day, at the Annual Animal Blessing Rinpoche conducts traditional Buddhist prayers for the protection, health, long life and future path to liberation for our beloved animal friends and all creatures past and present. The blessing ceremony is followed by a picnic.

Times: Registration 10.30am, Blessing Ceremony 11.00am, Lunch: 12pm
Location: This year the blessing ceremony will be held at Nalandra’s new property in Ringwood East.
Bring your animal friend, vegetarian food and drinks to share for lunch if you are able, and chairs or a picnic blanket.
Proceeds by donation go to a not-for-profit animal welfare agency.
Please let us know if you wish to bring an unusual or unusually large pet. The names and photographs of any animals that need prayers can be brought for the ceremony if they are not able to come on the day or are no longer with us.
Blessing cords and special treats for animal friends are provided. The kids can even bring their stuffed toys for blessing as well, everyone is welcome!
If you wish, you can also bring animal food to be donated to animal agencies in Melbourne.Items such as dog and cat food are always appreciated by these agencies and help to minimise their costs.
